Advertising


For any business or person trying to promote their products or services, advertising is key. You have to advertise so that people know who you are, what you have, and one it does. If they do not know anything about you, your product, or your services they will not trust you enough to try you out.

By advertising you can get your name out, allow people to start becoming familiar with you and show them how great your product are services are. You can start to build trust there and start to allow people to become more aware of you and what you do.

Advertising can help to establish you as an expert. Being established as an expert is extremely important. People are a lot more likely to use your products and services if they feel that you are an expert in your field. On the other hand, if they feel that you are not an expert they will not be so trusting when it comes to using your product or services.


Take Louis Armstrong for example. Lets say that after Louis Armstrong had gone to the moon he published a book about what the moon is like. Say he published a book about everything he saw there and everything he observed. Lets say he published this book telling people all about the moon's environment and how earth looked when one was standing on the moon.

Because people would consider him an expert in his field they would buy the book. They would buy it because they would know that he knew what he was talking about. They would know that he had experience in his field unlike any other person on earth at that time. They would buy his book because they would know that they could trust him to put in accurate information.

On the other hand, if Louis Armstrong had come home from the moon and published a book about interior decorating, probably the only people who would buy it would be those who wanted to laugh at is inaccurate knowledge. Because he would have no experience in the field (unless he could prove that he had some unbeknown to anyone else) people would not trust his book and would not use it when decorating their new home.

Advertising can be a great way to establish you as an expert in your field. You can use advertising to show your products and services and to show why you are qualified to offer such products and services. You can say, "I'm Bill and I am selling this book about gardening because I have been gardening since I was a kid. Our family's gardening techniques descend from my old ancestor Waldo who was a gardener for King Louis the Third."

If you could advertise in a way like this, a way that would offer a sample of how great your products and services are while showing the reason why they are so great, because you are an expert, people would be a lot more likely to begin to trust you and test your products and services out.

There are many great ways to advertise and to get your name out. You can go through newspapers, magazine, television, internet, yellow pages, mail, business cards etc. There are endless options and opportunities available for you. You have to take the opportunities and use them wisely so that people will develop trust in you and in your products and services. Once they trust you, you will start to get a lot more business.
