Get out of your box

Every once in a while you should try something that is totally new. Try to shake it up a little and once or twice a year, do something, anything, that you haven't done before. Maybe you will try an advertising strategy that you have never used. Maybe you will have an open house for the public and serve hot dogs and soda pop. Or how about putting a booth up at the county fair? It doesn't really matter what you try as long as you try something.

It is easy to be lulled to sleep by the status quo. Rise above the quo sometimes. The worst that can happen is that you end up back where you started. You are not going to hurt the company by trying something and having it fail. You might even learn things from your mistakes. Ask for ideas from people in the company, you will get a wide varieties of ideas if you ask a wide variety of people.
