Human Interest

One type of story that is always bound to get published in newspapers and other media is the story that has to do with human interest. These types of stories make people feel good and they interest people. They can boost the ratings of different publications and stations.

On group that has an easier time getting stories published because they mainly publish these human interest stories is the non-profit group, or groups. These groups are working to help people and so they usually have a lot of human-interest stories.

Non-profits will contact radio stations and TV stations with human-interest stories in hopes for some good publicity about their organization. It is usually not to hard for them because editors and reporters are always looking for good human-interest stories.

While some stories may get boring and may make people start to lose interest in the newspaper, radio or other media, human-interest stories are always a good idea and are always successful at making listeners, viewers and readers happy. They keep them interested.

These human interest stories impact and interest the public. Some stories may be miraculous and some may be sad. Someone may publish a story about a man who was saved in a crisis and lived to tell about it and someone else may publish a story about children who go hungry and have no toys or games.

Happy stories make the public happy and make them want to go out and save people. It is rare that they go through with their heroic plans or have chance to, but they may go out and help more people than they did before in small ways.

Sad stories are kind of like a call to action for people. They read them and they want to help people. They want to do something to help the poor and to help starving children get food. They make people want to go out and make a difference for somebody.

Because these stories make them feel good and inspire them to help others people like them so much more than the normal stories. Reporters and editors know this and so they will look for these types of stories and welcome them when they come.

This could be a good tool for businesses to utilize if they are planning on pitching stories and developing relationships with reporters. What they need to do is to be connected with these human-interest stories. They can do things themselves to serve people and make a difference in their lives and then pitch stories about what they learned.

If they are involved in this good cause then they will get great publicity. People will be impressed with their goodness and they will want to be part of such a great business. Even if people do not know a ton about their business they will like them if they are helping others.

Human-interest stories are great stories to get published in newspapers and a great tool for businesses to use if they want to get their name in the paper. Reporters would welcome them and be able to use them to keep people interested in their paper.
