Play to your strengths

Not everybody is good at everything but everybody is good at least something. Do whatever it is that you are good at. Use that your strengths when doing public relations for your company.

Let your style be a reflection of yourself. Maybe you are a bubbly and vivacious person that everybody loves. If this is you, you want to be out there meeting people, hob-nobbing and representing your company socially. On the other hand, maybe you are more of a methodical, research oriented person. If this is you, design and execute studies and show the results to the public. John Q. Public can be just as impressed with solid numbers as he is with charisma.

Focus your work on the things that you are strongest at. If you are a writer, write. If you are a teacher, teach. Any public relation style can be effective. You just have to approach it with heart.
