Fashion Public Relations

As in all industries, public relations are becoming increasingly important in the fashion industry. The purpose of public relations in any industry to is to make sure your company has a good relationship with its employees, client, and competing business. Public relations serves the same function in the fashion industry and those who are working in the fashion industry are quickly learning to rely on the public relations department (or company) rather than on advertising.

Advertising alone is not enough anymore. People are too quickly getting used to the hype and excitement that surrounds an advertisement and do no longer believe in the credibility of an advertisement. That is why if the fashion industry can find a spokes person who will use their product and be a living testimony of their product, they are quickly shelling out millions in order to retain those people. The public in general is more apt to believe the testimony of someone not related to the company than an advertisement.

If everyone there knows what they are about and it excited to do their part then the things they do will be a lot more effective. It will also make all the "employees" so excited that they will want to share it with the people they meet. In this small way they can spread it by the word of mouth.

Article

When you hear the term article, what do you think? Most of us think of exactly what an article is: an informative piece that we read in the newspaper or in different magazines and journals. Articles are things written by other people who are experts in their field, good at what they do, and successful. Articles are written by journalists or non-journalists experts. So what do articles have to do with you, other than the fact that you read them?

Even though most people don't have any idea about this, articles are actually one of the best ways for you to get free publicity. That's right: articles, not advertisements, not press conferences, not news releases. Your public relations and your publicity can be helped out a lot by writing articles for your local newspaper, for magazines, and for trade journals and academic journals. And let's admit it: you need publicity. Anyone who depends on the public in any way needs publicity. Obviously this means celebrities, athletes, and politicians. But the life of a business or a firm depends on publicity. It's easy to see how electronics companies, sporting goods companies, or any other company that releases products need publicity. But everyone who depends on customers needs publicity. This includes medical firms, accountants, hospitals, universities, you name it, they need publicity.

If you just want to focus on getting your job done, but you still know how important publicity is, then you might want to think about hiring a publicist or a public relations specialist.

Publicity is obviously a big deal, but you probably don't have the time to really deal with coming up with an enormous publicity campaign all on your own. What's more, you probably don't have any expertise in the area. How could you? You're a computer programmer, not a publicist! Fortunately, there are lots of people out there who can help you. The job of a publicist is to get you publicity. Your public relations specialist, or publicist, will be the one who contacts and interacts with the media on your behalf. They're the one who will write your press releases, take care of organizing your news conferences, be in charge of crisis control, and will generally direct and preserve your corporate image. The benefit of a publicist is that they know how to write that perfect pitch letter, and they know how to create a great media kit.

Propaganda

What do you think of when you hear the term "propaganda"? If you're like most people, you immediately think of totalitarian regimes and brutal dictatorships. Most people tend to associate propaganda with something bad. Most people think of Communist propaganda posters, Nazi propaganda movies, and other similarly sinister things. If you take a step back, you might also think of propaganda as being posters like the "Uncle Sam Wants You!" recruitment posters for the Army. Propaganda can also be seen as ads that play upon emotions to get you to think and act a certain way. A most common current example would be election ads. Politicians run ads which paint their opponent as evil while painting themselves as bringers of good. If you vote for their opponent, then you're making sure that your kids won't get education, your parents will starve in the streets in their old age, and you will end up giving all of your money to the government as you watch them take away your house.

Now, these are extreme examples of propaganda, but they give you some sort of idea of what propaganda does. Propaganda tries to make us think and feel in certain ways. We can see propaganda as acting the opposite way of how news casts supposedly do. We generally think of the news as providing us with totally objective information that isn't biased one way or the other. Whether or not the news actually does that is another matter, and depends on who you talk to, of course. Propaganda is aimed directly at manipulating your emotions, your opinions, and your behavior. Propaganda wants to make you act in a certain way.

Non-apology apology

What is a non-apology apology, when should you use it, and how can a non-apology apology work for you? This article will go through the definition of a non-apology apology and when you should make use of it.

A non-apology apology is basically making a statement so that it seems like you're apologizing, but you're not admitting any kind of guilt. Probably the best politician ever at making the non-apology apology was Bill Clinton. All of us remember his apologies during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Clinton apologized for hurting his wife, for hurting his family, and for offending people. But did he ever admit that he had actually done something wrong or anything illegal? Not on your life. If Clinton had admitted guilt while making an apology, then chances are he wouldn't have made it all the way through that second term.

A good way to make a non-apology apology is to just apologize for offending someone. Or you can start a non-apology apology with the words "if I was wrong" or "if I hurt someone" or "if I appeared to do wrong" or something along those lines.

The benefit of a non-apology apology is that it makes you look like you're really sorry for doing something wrong. This wins you points in the eyes of the public and in the light of the news media. Apologies of this sort are a great way to make you look repentant and like you really are going to change your course. Celebrities are great at this non-apology apology, and they have to be. They offend a lot of people, and they make a lot of mistakes, especially when drunk. The non-apology apology is a great way to save face without becoming too embarrassed.

On one hand, you could allow this technology to be used by many different companies so they could put it in their products. On the other hand you could keep it to yourself and use it only in your own products.

Public relations

Have you ever thought about public relations? Well, you should be thinking about public relations constantly. No matter how great your product is, how important your product is to the lives of every single person living, or how well you do your job, if you don't have great public relations and a good relationship with the public, your product essentially doesn't matter. The term public relations refers to way that the public sees your company, business, or corporation. The term public relations describes the relationship that you have with current and potential customers. Even if you don't sell specific products to the public, you still need the public to see your corporation in a positive light, either so that they will donate to your organization, so that they will support the results of studies that you make, or so that other companies will be well-disposed to hire you to help them.

Public relations is a tricky game to play. You're in control, to some extent, of your own publicity. You can play the public relations and news media game by sending out press releases in order to get attention for a particular product or development, even a new member joining your law firm.
