Stick with your plan

The longer you play the public relations game the more you will come to see it for the game that it is. You should formulate both long and short-range plans and then stick to those plans. This is the way big projects will get done and the way you will be able to carefully portray your company to the public.

If you have decided to do a public opinion survey, plan the thing out all the way from developing the survey to publication of the results. Stay with the project no matter what kind of obstacles get in your way. The same is true for longer-range plans, if you have a goal of a 80% approval rating from stakeholders by the year 2009, get busy and make a plan. Maybe you will want to talk with each stakeholder individually, build a discussion based on those interviews and make presentations at stakeholder meeting. Great! You have a plan, now stick to it and you will have results.
